Every time you get paid, Disco detects it, splits it into spending, taxes, and savings, and shows you exactly where your money should go. No spreadsheets. No guessing.
Disco is an iPhone app that automatically splits 1099 income into spending, tax reserve, and savings. Built for gig workers, freelancers, and the self-employed, Disco connects to your bank, detects each income deposit in real time, and recommends a personalized tax set-aside based on your state and income bracket — so you never get surprised at tax time.
Nobody withholds your taxes. Nobody splits your paycheck. Nobody tells you what's safe to spend. That changes now.
Tax season hits and you owe thousands you don't have. Self-employment tax alone is 15.3% — before federal and state income tax.
You see $3,000 in your account but have no idea how much is earmarked for taxes. So you spend it—and regret it later.
You keep telling yourself you'll set up a system. You never do. Because there's no tool built for how you actually earn.
Disco connects to your bank, watches for deposits, and instantly tells you how to split every dollar. Personalized to your state, income, and goals.
Securely link your bank account. Disco monitors your deposits and flags every incoming payment in real time.
During setup, Disco recommends a tax rate based on your state and income bracket. Choose a preset or set your own ratio.
Every deposit triggers a notification with a clear breakdown: here's your spending money, here's your tax reserve, here's your savings.
Your 60/30/10 split applied instantly
Disco Accounts — dedicated spending, tax reserve, and savings accounts with automatic transfers. Early access users get first priority.
No other app is built for how gig workers and freelancers actually earn and manage money.
Connect your bank and Disco watches for deposits. When income lands, you get a push notification with your split breakdown.
Disco recommends your tax set-aside based on your state and income bracket. Not a generic 30%—a rate that fits your situation.
One screen shows your spending balance, tax reserve, and savings. Always know what's safe to spend and what's spoken for.
Get a push notification every time income is detected. Confirm the split, adjust it, or mark it as "not income" — right from your phone.
Conservative, moderate, or aggressive — pick a preset or dial in your exact percentages. Change anytime as your income shifts.
Every split you confirm is logged. Filter by date, status, or type. See your monthly totals and know exactly where you stand.
If you file a 1099, Disco was built for you.

Everything you need to know about how Disco works.
Disco is an iPhone app that automatically splits 1099 income into spending, tax reserve, and savings. When a deposit lands in your bank account, Disco detects it and shows you exactly how much to set aside for taxes based on your state and income bracket — so freelancers, gig workers, and the self-employed never get surprised at tax time.
During setup, Disco asks for your state and estimated annual income, then recommends a federal + state self-employment tax rate tailored to your situation. You can accept the recommendation, choose a Conservative / Moderate / Aggressive preset, or set a custom percentage. You can update it anytime as your income changes.
Yes. Disco connects to your bank through Plaid, the same bank-level secure service used by Venmo, Robinhood, and Coinbase. Your bank credentials are never stored by Disco. Disco only receives read-only transaction data, all encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Disco does not move money or sell personal information.
Yes. Disco was built specifically for 1099 earners, including rideshare drivers (Uber, Lyft), delivery workers (DoorDash, Instacart, Grubhub, Uber Eats), freelancers, and independent service providers. Any deposit from any 1099 platform can be split automatically.
Disco is free to download and use. No credit card is required to start splitting income.
No. Disco helps you set aside the right amount for taxes throughout the year so you have the cash ready when taxes are due. You still file your taxes through your preferred service (TurboTax, an accountant, etc.).
Not yet. Disco is currently available on iPhone via the App Store. Android support is on the roadmap.
A common starting point is 60% spending, 30% tax reserve, and 10% savings, but the right tax percentage depends on your state and income bracket. Self-employment tax alone is 15.3%, and federal income tax adds 10–37% on top. Disco recommends a personalized tax rate based on your situation.
