Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Disco mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident to use Disco. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Description of Service
Disco is a financial management tool designed for freelancers and self-employed individuals. The App helps you:
- Connect your external bank accounts via Plaid
- Automatically detect income deposits
- Split income into spending, tax reserve, and savings categories
Disco may partner with licensed banking providers to offer deposit accounts in the future. Currently, the App provides income tracking and allocation tools using your existing bank accounts.
4. Account Registration
To use Disco, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information which may include:
- Legal name
- Date of birth
- Phone number
- State and ZIP code
- Email address
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
5. Early Access
Disco is currently in an early access phase. Some features, including bank account creation and money movement, may not yet be available. Full functionality will be rolled out as the platform expands.
6. Fees
Disco does not currently charge fees for use of the App. If we introduce fees in the future, we will notify you in advance.
7. Financial Information Disclaimer
Disco is a financial tool, not a financial advisor. The suggested tax percentages and savings allocations are estimates only.
You are solely responsible for your tax obligations. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified tax professional for advice specific to your situation.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Provide false or misleading information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use the App to commit fraud or money laundering
- Abuse, harass, or harm other users or our staff
9. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity.

10. Third-Party Services
Disco integrates with third-party services including Plaid and our banking partners. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Disco shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of funds, arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the App
- Errors, outages, or interruptions in service
- Unauthorized access to your account
- Actions of third-party services (Plaid, banking partners)
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Disco, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
